None of the maximum favourites to win “La Liga” could get a victory in the opening match of the season. Both were playing away, but that’s not an excuse for the Spaniard giants.

The current champion Real visited to Deportivo de la Coruna, when just some hours earlier Robinho slammed his club. Brazil star accused his coach of halting the deal, blasted his president and technical director, Calderon and Mijatovic, and the last point of this tense press conference was warning that he was prepared to rot in the stand the whole season, “ I would recover, I’m young”, said plenty of arrogant style.

Apart from this big saga whose unexpected end has been Robinho’s arrival to Man City with a transfer record £34m, Real was beaten by Depor 2-1, and at this moment, Riazor has became a really damned stadium for the white ones, who haven’t been able to get a victory there…for 18 YEARS!! It’s became an Everest!!

Schuster’s side lost the match because of two headers just in front of the small box, after two corners, which means that there is a lot of work to do in this. The top scorer in 3 different leagues Ruud Van Nistelrooy equalised just two minutes after the break, but the Galician team got the definitive lead four minutes later.

On the other hand, , the playmaker legend of Barca in 90’s Pep Guardiola, make his debut from the bench in La Liga, being defeated by the just gone up Numancia in Soria, 1-0. This is a really disappointing opener after the good preseason of Henry’s squad, who wasn’t very bright. In fact, he has never been the same one in Spain, that the top-top player that was playing for Arsenal.

Newspapers in Barcelona were very critics on Monday with this first performance, and asked for more tactic work in blaugrana’s side . Bad vicious are gone, with Ronaldinho in Milan, but that is not enough and doesn’t work.

Finally, I have to say that these days are being plenty of happiness for Atletico de Madrid. The “colchoneros” repeated the score of the 2nd leg in Pre-Champions against Schalke 04 (getting the access to play Champions after 11 years), and won 4-0 at home against Malaga F.C., another just gone up, becoming the first leader 08-09.

Valencia defeated Mallorca 3-0 (Villa scored first) in front of its crowd and shares the top of the table with Atletico. By the way, people is excited in Madrid waiting for the morbid pleasure matches in Champions against Liverpool. Fernando Torres will come back to Manzanares river ,“Vicente Calderon” stadium.
