AC Milan look set to turn to Radoslav Kovac if Chelsea continue to insist Branislav Ivanovic is not for sale, as Carlo Ancelotti aims to bolster his back four.
The Rossoneri are eager to land another defender ahead of the new Serie A season, and they were hoping the Londoners would part with Ivanovic who is yet to make a single appearance for the Premier League club since his £9million move in January.
However, the Stamford Bridge club have surprisingly labelled the Serbian defender as not for sale, which has forced Ancelotti to cast his attention towards Spartak Moscow skipper Kovac, whose agent Pavel Zika has confirmed interest from the San Siro side.
"Discussions with Milan are in an early stage at the moment," Zika told deniksport.cz. "I don't want to anticipate anything, but it is true that Milan are looking for a stopper and have given an indication for Radek. The transfer fee is in the region of €5-6million.”
