Tiago has ruled out a move to Everton, stating in no uncertain terms that he will not be heading to Goodison Park during the summer transfer window.

David Moyes has endured a miserable time in his bid to add players to his Toffees squad, but he hoped the Portugal international, who won the Premier League with Chelsea, would end his search for a new midfielder by agreeing a season-long loan deal.

The 27-year-old was a huge flop for Juventus last season following his pricey move from French champions Lyon, and a return to England could have kick-started his career. However, rumours will now resurface that he seeks a move to Atletico Madrid after ruling out a transfer to Everton.

Tiago told the Corriere dello Sport: "I will not be going to Everton."
