Ok, so this isn’t exactly football related, but I just found this morning’s quote from Arsene Wenger slightly strange. He said:

"I didn't know the English were good at swimming, I have been in this country for 12 years and I haven't seen a swimming pool."

To be fair, he wouldn’t have a clue how any British stars faired at sport would he? At some points in the season, Aresnal are known for running a team made up of eleven players whose native meal isn’t pie n’ mash which is washed down with a warm pint of lager.

I also ask the question if Arsene is a modern day slave to management? After 12 years and never seeing a swimming pool, where is he living? Granted he may have a stupidly priced house, but with no pool? If only his chairman will promise him a pool for winning the league. Surely then Arsene can find the inspiration to give to his players. After all, last year saw the team start so well but then slowly burn out and chuck everything away.
