Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic has his heart set on a move to AC Milan during the summer transfer window, according to his agent.
The £9million New Year signing from Lokomotiv Moscow has failed to make a single appearance for the Blues, and appears to be down the pecking order under new coach Luiz Felipe Scolari. Despite this, the Blues last week supposedly claimed the Serbian would be staying at Stamford Bridge.
However, Milan are eager to land the player ahead of the new season to solve their injury crisis. Carlo Ancelotti wants the 24-year-old on an initial loan spell with the view to making it permanent at the end of the season, and considering his lack of Premier League action, it is unsurprising to find Ivanovic is keen to clinch the move.
"Branislav chose Milan and he told that to the club, and for that reason he will probably wear the Rossoneri shirt this next season," Vlado Borozan told tuttomercato. “The deal will be done because no-one will keep an unhappy player."
