Ricardo Quaresma will finally seal a move to Inter Milan ahead of the summer transfer deadline, according to the Corriere dello Sport.
Jose Mourinho has been chasing the Portugal international for much of the summer, although it had been reported he gave up the chase after Porto placed a whopping £30million price tag on the winger’s head. However, reports in Italy now claim a possible move is back on.
It is believed the Nerazzurri are prepared to pay around £17million for Quaresma, and they are also willing to include youngster Pele as part of the deal. This is said to have given Porto something to think about, and they will respond to the offer during the course of the week.
Mourinho set out to sign two wide players this summer so he can use a 4-3-3 formation this season. Amantino Mancini was signed from Roma last month, and if Quaresma also arrives, he could well have the team he feels capable of launching a bid for the UEFA Champions League.
